COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS: CHAUCER ,SPENCER AND SHAKESPEARE.

Chaucer’s work is more believable and straight forward to the readers, while Shakespeare’s play is scattered with random plot lines.

Chaucer’s version of the poem is full of thought and is a serious attempt at portraying events realistically, while Shakespeare based his version on intuition. Chaucer’s realistic portrayal of events was based on evidence presented in earlier lines of the poem. He observed nature and human thoughts, presenting clearly defined characters in his work. In contrast to Chaucer’s style, Shakespeare’s version of the poem is action filled and truly a piece meant for entertaining audiences. Shakespeare adds the elements of drama and action, hoping to captivate audiences with events that are straying from what the reader or viewer believes to be totally possible or likely to occur.

Three notable poets, Geoffrey Chaucer, Edmund Spenser, and William Shakespeare, have made substantial contributions to English literature. Despite their individual styles and methods, they all made crucial contributions to the evolution of poetry during their respective eras.

Geoffrey Chaucer, often referred to as the 'Father of English Literature,' was a 14th-century writer best known for his work 'The Canterbury Tales.' Chaucer's poetry reflects the lively and diverse society of Medieval England. His use of Middle English vernacular and his ability to create vivid characters and narratives brought a sense of realism and accessibility to his poetry. Themes explored in his works include love, religion, social class, and human nature. Chaucer's mastery of satire and his keen observation of human behavior make his poetry both entertaining and thought-provoking.

Edmund Spenser, who lived during the late 16th century, is renowned for his epic poem 'The Faerie Queene.' Spenser's writing style exhibits a highly structured and allegorical nature. His use of intricate rhyme schemes, like the Spenserian stanza, and vivid imagery contribute to the grandeur and beauty of his verse. 'The Faerie Queene' explores moral and political themes, intertwining them with elements of romance, chivalry, and mythology. Spenser's poetry often reflects his idealistic vision of an ordered and harmonious society. When comparing these three poets, it is crucial to acknowledge their distinct styles and contributions to the poetic tradition. Chaucer's realistic portrayal of medieval society, Spenser's allegorical and structured verse, and Shakespeare's profound exploration of human nature are all testaments to their unique artistic approaches. Each poet's works continue to be celebrated for their literary merit and enduring influence on the English poetic tradition.

CONCLUSION:

Therefore, the poets have explained their views that how they are unique in their poems  and specifically their styles like rhyme, stanzas, poetic metre and they were known etc.
